Returns & Refund Policy

At The Books Empire, we value customer satisfaction and aim to make your shopping
experience smooth and worry-free. Below is our clear policy for returns, refunds, exchanges,
and cancellations.

Return Policy
We offer a 15-day return window starting from the day you receive your order. A return will
only be accepted if:

  • The item is unused, unopened, and in original condition.
  • The product is sent back in its original packaging (if available).
  • The reason for return is due to damage, defect, or incorrect item received.
  • Returns for personal preferences (e.g., change of mind, wrong choice) are not
    accepted.

 

Important Notes

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable, except when our Speedy Delivery ($6.99)
    delivery guarantee is not met.
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Once the returned product is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 2–3
    business days and credited to the original payment method.

 

Exchange Policy
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you can request an exchange within 15
days of delivery.
Exchange Process:
1. Contact our customer service team to initiate the exchange.
2. Pack and ship the product back to us (preferably in the original packaging).
3. Once received, we will send the replacement at no extra cost.

Bulk Orders
For large or wholesale purchases, exchanges are only provided for items damaged during
delivery. Only the damaged quantity will be replaced.

Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns or exchanges for counterfeit items, or for products that differ from
our catalog due to unauthorized sellers.

Refund Policy
If a return or exchange is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the same payment method used for the purchase.
  • Processing time is 2–3 business days after the returned product is inspected.

 

Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be canceled before shipment.
  • Once shipped, cancellations are no longer possible, and the return policy applies.
  • To cancel, contact our customer service immediately with your order details.

 

Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged or incorrect product:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Provide photos or proof of the issue.
  • We will arrange a refund or replacement based on your preference.

 

Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure items are securely packed for return to prevent damage during transit.
  • All returns/exchanges must be sent to the return address provided in your
    confirmation email via USPS or an equivalent shipping service.
